Through hours of researching/analyzing, our recommendations that we best pulled out are listed below. It consists of best practices for user interface, best practices for university website content, how AI Bots can help engagement, and increasing social media engagement.

1.) A Home Page redesign should be looked into to address direct user needs

  • Implement an AI helper on the SOIC site to increase user confidence and engagement with your website and organization.

  • Speak with other departments at IUPUI who use AI helpers on their sites or have expertise in the field (UITS uses Ivy.ai and SOIC works closely with cocohub.ai in the I220 program, and the AI Institute)

4.) Increasing Social Media Engagement:

  • Influencer Marketing

    • Having someone who is a member, current student, previously graduated students, or someone who’s in SOIC can provide authenticity.

    • Videos Advertising 

  • Multi-Channel Approach

    • Having more than one social media

    • Utilize social media automation platforms to schedule automated posts ahead. There HubSpot, HootSuite, Sprout Social, and BuzzSumo.

    • Use LinkTree of links in Instagram bio / Any social media bio

  • Building an Engaging Community

    • Be everywhere and share photos of events

    • Keep up to date with upcoming events and deadlines
